CS-NRI (Composites) composite reinforcement systems are used for the repair and reinforcement of corrosion damage and dents on in-service pipelines (including applications on high-temperature pipelines), both onshore and offshore.

Installation of the CS-NRI (Composites) system does not require any hot work on the pipeline (cutting or welding). The system consists of a fiberglass composite wrap, made of multiple layers, which is applied around the pipeline to restore the original yield strength of the pipe material.

The fiberglass wrap is installed using two-component fillers and adhesives.
The composite system is supplied in ready-to-use kits for the repair and reinforcement of pipelines with diameters ranging from 4” to 56”.

Designed as a permanent reinforcement system for corrosion defects with depths of up to 80% of the nominal wall thickness, the system is recognized by ASME standards.

Building on the success of the former Clock Spring® technology, several variants have been developed to meet different Operator requirements. In addition to CS-NRI (Composites) systems, TECMA also operates with Wrapmaster® and IRIDIUM® composite repair solutions, allowing the selection of the most suitable technology based on pipeline conditions and operational needs.

The range of composite repair systems managed by TECMA also includes:

  • SNAP WRAP®, for the repair of pipelines operating at pressures below 35 bar
  • HIGH TEMPERATURE®, for pipelines with operating temperatures up to 310°C
  • CRACK ARRESTOR®, applied at predefined intervals to absorb energy generated by crack-induced failure and limit crack propagation

Additional repair systems include:

  • Pipe-Support®, for pipeline reinforcement and protection at concrete and steel supports
  • Leak-Stop®, for leak repair with simultaneous pipeline reinforcement
  • ATLAS, for the carbon fiber repair and reinforcement of special components where standard composite wrap systems cannot be installed (tees, flanges, elbows, weldolets, reducers, etc.)
