16_insp_operation 1

Inspection of gas and oil pipelines using high-resolution magnetic and ultrasonic technology. Geometric and dimensional verification with multi-channel caliper tools for complex geometric analyses. Defect detection through UT, EMAT, and MFL techniques for crack identification. Inertial mapping of pipelines along X, Y, Z axes and measurement of stresses induced by ground movements.

MFL4 – MagneScan™ Technology
Light, compact, and maneuverable, the MagneScan™ tool integrates multiple high-resolution inspection technologies in a single vehicle:
Magnetic flux leakage (MFL) with low-noise sensors capable of measuring axial, radial, and circumferential magnetic vectors for accurate defect sizing.
Multi-channel Caliper for precise geometric deformation measurements.
IMU inertial navigation unit for pipeline georeferencing.

MFL4
CalScan

CalScan®
Single-channel electromechanical Pig for geometric and dimensional pipeline verification. Detects and longitudinally positions ovalizations, dents, circumferential welds, and thickness variations that reduce internal pipeline diameter.

Calipper Pig
Multi-channel evolution of the Caliper Pig, capable of longitudinal and circumferential positioning and sizing of various defect types, including complex dents caused by landslides or ground movement.

MagneScan

MagneScan™
High-resolution MFL inspection vehicle for detecting metal loss, pitting, internal and external defects. Also available in Triax version for advanced sizing of complex, interacting defects.

TranScan™ TFI
High-resolution magnetic technology for identifying axially oriented defects such as longitudinal weld cracks.

TranScan

EmatScan™ CD
Innovative, high-resolution tool for crack detection and measurement in pipelines without the use of liquid couplant. EMAT technology enables quantitative wall thickness measurements for crack identification and sizing, including SCC colonies, longitudinal cracks, toe cracks, hook cracks, lack-of-fusion cracks, and weld seam cracks. Can also detect coating variations and disbondments.

SmartScan
UltraScanWN

UltraScan™ WM:
Ultrasonic inspection tool for direct quantitative wall thickness measurement and defect characterization. Negotiates sequential 90° bends with radius starting from R = 1.5D.

UltraScanCD

UltraScan™ CD:
Advanced ultrasonic technology for detecting and sizing longitudinal cracks caused by stress corrosion cracking (SCC) and fatigue. Uses multiple 45° angled ultrasonic probes.

UltraScanDUO

UltraScan™ DUO:
Innovative application of advanced GE medical phased-array systems for simultaneous wall thickness and defect inspection

IMU – Inertial Mapping Unit
Sophisticated inertial module with laser gyroscopes for high-resolution georeferencing of entire pipelines. Can be applied to both the Calipper tool and MagneScan vehicle, integrating inspection technologies with pipeline mapping in a single run.

IMU

Fitness for Purpose (FFP) Studies
Following inspection with intelligent Pigs, TECMA provides advanced evaluation services to assess pipeline reliability, optimize maintenance planning, and reduce operational costs. The FFP service employs sophisticated calculation and finite element analysis techniques for predictive failure analysis, fatigue assessment, fracture mechanics, and corrosion growth studies (RunCom™).
