An essential instrument for the detection of pigs in subsea pipelines. The pinger installed on the pig generates ultrasonic pulses at a pre-selectable frequency, which are detected by a receiving unit and reproduced acoustically through an integrated speaker.
This instrument is therefore suitable for use only in pipelines where the pig is propelled by a liquid product.
